Necaxa, Mexico

Necaxa is a 109MW hydro power project. It is located on Necaxa river/basin in Puebla, Mexico. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1903 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1905.

Contractors Involved

Andritz was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 10 units of pelton turbines.

Voith Hydro Holding supplied 4 electric generators for the project.
