NedPower Mount Storm, US

NedPower Mount Storm is a 264MW onshore wind power project. It is located in West Virginia, the US. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in December 2008.

Description

The project was developed by Dominion Energy and Shell WindEnergy. The project is currently owned by Clearway Energy.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 66,000 households, offsetting 950,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $601.92m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2008.

Contractors Involved

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 132 units of G80-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2008, for a period of 15 years.
