Description

The project was developed by TransAlta Renewables and Venterre NRG. The project is currently owned by TransAlta Renewables with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 177,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 11,000 households. The project cost is $208.97m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in March 2013.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hydro-Quebec under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

New Richmond (New Richmond Phase I A) is equipped with Enercon E-82 E2 / 2,000 kW turbines. The phase consists of 27 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

New Richmond (New Richmond Phase I B) is equipped with Enercon E-82 E2 / 2,300 kW turbines. The phase consists of 6 turbines with 2.3MW nameplate capacity.
