Duke Energy Renewables president Greg Wolf said: "We’re proud to be partnering with these progressive utilities to make renewable energy more widely available to their customers.

"One of the key advantages of our Los Vientos projects is they generate the majority of their power during the day, when customer demand is greatest."

Once completed, Los Vientos V will be able to provide emissions-free power for around 33,000 homes.
