India-based Moser Baer Clean Energy (MBCE) has announced its 23.8MW solar farm at Lauta in Germany has been commissioned.
The project has been developed with an investment of around €50m.
The facility has employed crystalline silicon technology and SMA central inverters supplied by Conecon, which will feed in 65,500 units daily into a 20kV local substation.
The project has been financed with long-term debt funding from Germany’s DKB bank.
The solar PV plant is expected to save 13,200 tonnes of annual carbon emissions and supply electricity to 45,000 households.
