Description
The project is being developed by Neyveli Tamilnadu Power. NLC India and Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 89% and 11% respectively.
It is a steam turbine power plant. The fuel will be procured from Mahanadhi Coal fields Limited and Eastern Coalfield Limited.
The project cost is expected to be around $889.5m.
The Coal fired project consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 500MW nameplate capacity.
