Ngebel Geothermal Project, Indonesia

Ngebel Geothermal Project is a 165MW geothermal power project. It is planned in East Java, Indonesia. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

The project is being developed and currently owned by PT Bakrie Power and Xped. The company’s ownership stake in the project stands as 65% and 35% respectively.

The geothermal site has in total 1 number of wells. Ngebel Geothermal Project will run at a temperature of 200 Degree Celsius.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2024.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the Ngebel Geothermal Project will be sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement at the rate of $0.12kWh.
