Description

The project is currently owned by Niigata Prefecture.

Niigata East Solar Power Plant 3 Series is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 45 hectares.

The project generates 20,300MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 6,000 households. The project cost is $55.413m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in July 2015.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Tohoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Fukuda and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Toshiba was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 85,260 modules each with 250W of nameplate capacity.

The inverters were procured from Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems for the project.
