Nordergrunde, Germany

Nordergrunde is an 110.7MW offshore wind power project. The project is located in North Sea, Germany. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2016 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2017.

Description

Gothaer Leben Renewables, John Laing Group and WPD Offshore are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 30% and 30% respectively.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 70,000 households. The project cost is $462.537m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2016 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2017.

Contractors Involved

Senvion was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 18 units of 6.2M126 turbines, each with 6.15MW nameplate capacity.

Deutsche Windtechnik is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2020, for a period of 6 years.
