There were 74 generation equipment tenders announced in the North America region in July 2021, marking a drop of 14% over the last 12-month average of 86, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in July 2021 with 103 tenders and a 44.6% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 74 tenders and a 32% share and Power Plant with 15 tenders and a 6.5% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection: 57 tenders and a 77% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 17 tenders and a 23% share.

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for 71 tenders with a 95.9% share, followed by solar with three tenders and a 4.1% share.
