There were 100 T&D equipment tenders announced in the North America region in September 2021, marking a rise of 2% over the last 12-month average of 98, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in September 2021 with 100 tenders and a 42.4% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 86 tenders and a 36.4% share and Energy Storage with 17 tenders and a 7.2% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection: 95 tenders and a 95% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five tenders and a 5% share.

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for three tenders with a 60% share, followed by hydro with two tenders and a 40% share.
