The project is being developed and currently owned by Solar 21 Renewable Energy Ireland.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 193,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $544.072m.
Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
