Description
The project was developed by NorthWind Power Development. ALTERNERGY Philippines Holding and NorthWind Power Development are currently owning the project.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 56,788t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
Development Status
The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in May 2005.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected to render EPC services for the NorthWind Bangui Bay (NorthWind Bangui Bay 3).
NorthWind Bangui Bay (NorthWind Bangui Bay 1) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V82-1.65 MW turbines. The phase consists of 15 turbines with 1.65MW nameplate capacity.
NorthWind Bangui Bay (NorthWind Bangui Bay 2) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V82-1.65 MW turbines. The phase consists of 5 turbines with 1.65MW nameplate capacity.
NorthWind Bangui Bay (NorthWind Bangui Bay 3) is equipped with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SWT-3.15-108 turbines. The phase consists of 6 turbines with 3.15MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the NorthWind Bangui Bay (NorthWind Bangui Bay 3). The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2014, for a period of 5 years.
