The project was developed by USCE-Missouri River District and is currently owned by US Army Corps of Engineers with a stake of 100%.
Oahe is a reservoir based project.

Contractors Involved
Allis-Chalmers Power Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 7 units of francis turbines, each with 112MW nameplate capacity.
GE Renewable Energy supplied 7 electric generators for the project.
