Olkaria III is a 150MW geothermal power project. It is located in Nakuru, Kenya. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in August 2000.

The project is developed and owned by OrPower 4.
The geothermal plant is of binary type. The geothermal site has in total 22 number of production wells. Olkaria III runs at a temperature of 200 Degree Celsius.
The project generates 772GWh of electricity.
The project got commissioned in August 2000.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Kenya Power and Lighting under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Olkaria III (Olkaria III Phase I) is equipped with Mitsubishi turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 13MW nameplate capacity.
