Description

The project is currently owned by Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 8,000 households. The project cost is $54.487m.

The process of landfill has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Landfill gas is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Ameresco was selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.

GE Jenbacher was selected as the engine supplier for the project. The company provided 6 units of J620 Jenbacher engines, each with 3.36 nameplate capacity.
