Description
The project was developed by Prosolia Portugal, Solaer Group and WElink Energy UK. The project is currently owned by Morningchapter.
Ourique Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 100 hectares.
The project generates 80GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 23,000 households, offsetting 49,944t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $40.994m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in July 2018.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Audax Renovables under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors Involved
China Triumph International Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Jetion Solar (China) was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 142,000 modules each with 305W of nameplate capacity.
The inverters were procured from Power Electronics Corp UK for the project.
WElink Energy UK is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
