Paguthan Combined Cycle Power Plant is a 655MW gas fired power project. It is located in Gujarat, India. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in December 1998.

Description

CLP Holdings and Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Naptha. The fuel is procured from Gandhar Gas Fields.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in December 1998.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam under a power purchase agreement with a contracted capacity is 655MW.

Contractors Involved

Siemens was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 241MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of SGT5-2000E gas turbines, each with 138MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens supplied SGen5-1000A electric generator for the project.

Deutsche Babcock supplied steam boiler for the project.

Power Mech Projects is the O&M contractor for thermal power project.
