Description

The project is co-owned by Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec and CLP Holdings, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Naptha. The fuel is procured from Gandhar Gas Fields.

The project got commissioned in December 1998.
