Paiton Power Station is a 2,045MW coal fired power project. It is located in East Java, Indonesia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in May 1999.

Description

Mitsui, Nebras Power QPSC, JERA and PT Batu Hitam Perkasa are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 45.5%, 35.5%, 14% and 5% respectively.

It is a steam turbine power plant.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in May 1999.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the Paiton Power Station (Paiton III Power Plant ) is sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement for a period of 30 years.

The power generated from the Paiton Power Station (Paiton Power Plant Unit 7) is sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement for a period of 40 years.

The power generated from the Paiton Power Station (Paiton Power Plant Unit 8) is sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement for a period of 40 years.

Fluor was selected to render EPC services for the Paiton Power Station (Paiton Power Plant Unit 7) project. Fluor was selected to render EPC services for the Paiton Power Station (Paiton Power Plant Unit 8) project. PT. Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the Paiton Power Station (Paiton III Power Plant ) project.

Paiton Power Station (Paiton III Power Plant ) is equipped with Mitsubishi Power Tandem Compound steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 815MW nameplate capacity.

Paiton Power Station (Paiton Power Plant Unit 7) is equipped with GE Power Tandem Compound steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 615MW nameplate capacity.

Paiton Power Station (Paiton Power Plant Unit 8) is equipped with GE Power Tandem Compound steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 615MW nameplate capacity.
