The project is currently owned by Pakgen Power.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel is procured from Pakistan State Oil Company Limited.
The project generated 2,031,000MWh of electricity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in February 1998.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Nichimen was selected to render EPC services for the oil fired power project.
Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company provided 1 unit of N-1356 steam turbine with 365MW nameplate capacity.
Siemens supplied NE62YL electric generator for the project.
Mitsubishi Power supplied steam boiler for the project.
