Description
The project was developed by Andrade Gutierrez and Construtora Norberto Odebrecht. Energias de Portugal and Furnas Centrais Eletricas are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 60% and 40% respectively.
Peixe Angical is a run-of-river project. The net head of the project is 24.3m. The project generated 2,374 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,407.323m.

Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of kaplan turbines, each with 168.8MW nameplate capacity.
