Peuchen is an 85MW hydro power project. It is located on Duqueco river/basin in Bio Bio, Chile. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2001.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Sistema Interconectado Central under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 42.5MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens supplied electric generator(s) for the project.
