Photovolt Ukushima Solar PV Park is a 480MW solar PV power project. It is planned in Nagasaki, Japan. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in July 2023.

Description

The project is being developed by Furukawa Electric, Kyocera, Kyudenko, Photovolt Development Partners, SPCG Public and Tokyo Century. The project is currently owned by SPCG Public with a stake of 17.92%, Furukawa Electric, Kyocera, Kyudenko, Mizuho Bank and Tokyo Century.

Photovolt Ukushima Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 810 hectares.

The project is expected to generate 515,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 173,000 households. The project is expected to offset 274,750t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $1,800m.

200 inverters are likely to get installed at the project site.

Development Status

Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in July 2023.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 400MW.

Contractors Involved

Kyudenko is expected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

Kyocera TCL Solar will be the supplier of the PV modules for the solar power project. The company is expected to provide 1,650,000 modules each with 250W of nameplate capacity.

Kyudenko is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project.
