Description
The project was developed by Black & Veatch Holding. Plum Point Energy Associates, Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission, East Texas Electric Cooperative and Liberty Utilities (Canada) are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 62.85%, 22.11%, 7.52% and 7.52% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is subbituminous. In case of shortage of subbituminous the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil.
The project generated 3,626,619MWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,410.046m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in September 2010.
Power Purchase Agreement
Cooperative Energy, Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission, Municipal Energy Agency Of Mississippi and The Empire District Electric are the power offtakers from the project.
Contractors Involved
Black & Veatch Holding, Gilbert Central and Zachry Construction were selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.
Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 665MW nameplate capacity.
Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions supplied electric generator for the project.
IHI supplied steam boiler for the project.
