Portlands Energy Centre is a 550MW gas fired power project. It is located in Ontario, Canada. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in April 2009.

The project was developed by Portlands Energy Centre and is currently owned by Ontario Power Generation with a stake of 100%.
It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant that is used for Peakload.
The project cost is $730m.
The project got commissioned in April 2009.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 550MW.
SNC-Lavalin Thermal Power was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The Gas fired project consists of 1 steam turbine.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of PG7241FA gas turbines.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
GE Power supplied steam boiler for the project.
