Posco Gwangyang Off-Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant is a 284MW gas fired power project. It is located in South Jeolla, South Korea. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in June 2010.

Description
The project is currently owned by POSCO Energy with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is blast furnace gas. In case of shortage of blast furnace gas the plant can also run on Coke Oven Gas.
The project cost is $211.009m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in June 2010.
Contractors Involved
POSCO Engineering & Construction was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 steam turbines, each with 56MW nameplate capacity.
Mitsubishi Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of M701S(DA)X gas turbines, each with 86MW nameplate capacity.
Mitsubishi Power supplied electric generator for the project.
The steam boilers for the gas fired power project have been supplied byAmec Foster Wheeler and BHI.
