It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Dominion Cove Point.
The project generated 3,060,481MWh of electricity.
The project got commissioned in July 2003.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 265MW nameplate capacity.
