Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by Abu Dhabi National Energy and JERA. The company's ownership stake in the project stands as 51% and 49% respectively.
It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be gas. In case of shortage of gas the plant will run on Hydrogen.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2026. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors involved
Samsung C&T is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the gas fired power project.
Mitsubishi Power will be the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company is expected to supply M501JAC model gas turbines for the project.
