Description
The project is being developed by NextEra Energy Resources and Orion Renewable Energy Group. The project is currently owned by NextEra Energy Resources with a stake of 100%.
The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 135,000 households. The project cost is expected to be around $1,132.5m.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Clearwater Wind Farm (Clearwater Wind Farm I) will be sold to Puget Sound Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 350MWh.
Contractors involved
GE Renewable Energy will be the turbine supplier for the wind power project.
