Menderes Geothermal Elektrik Uretim A.S. (Menderes Geothermal) is a Turkish power generation company. It was set up as an investment company to provide electricity to both facilities within the MB Holding and other industrial complexes. The company generates electricity through geothermal energy at a heat between 78°C and 170°C. It owns and operates Aydin Salavatli Dora Geothermal Power Plant with a capacity of 20 MW. The geothermal fluid is pumped up to the surface through production wells located in the field. The plant is the first private geothermal power plant in Turkey, which was taken into operation, employing the specific ‘Organic Rankine Cycle & Binary technology’ for increased efficiency. Menderes Geothermal is headquartered in Aydin, Turkey.
