Description
The project is being developed by Goto City Offshore Wind Power Generation and Toda. Chubu Electric Power, ENEOS, Inpex, Osaka Gas and Toda are currently owning the project. The turbines will be mounted on floating type foundations.
Goto Floating Wind Farm (Goto Floating Wind Farm Phase III) consists of 100 turbines with 5MW nameplate capacity.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2012. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by April 2016.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the Goto Floating Wind Farm (Goto Floating Wind Farm Phase I) will be sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 2MW.
