The project was developed by Acwa Power and is currently owned by ACWA Power Renewable Energy Holding with a stake of 51%.
Risha Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 200 hectares.
The project generates 115,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 12,000 households, offsetting 79,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The project consists of 200,000 modules.

Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to National Electric Power under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.059kWh for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 50MW.
