Description

The project was developed by Marlim Azul. Patria Investimentos, Shell and Mitsubishi Power are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50.1%, 29.9% and 20% respectively.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant that is used for Baseload. The fuel is procured from Shell Brasil Petroleo Ltda.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in November 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.

Contractors involved

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company supplied M501 JAC model gas turbines for the project.
