Description

The project was developed by Windkoepel Groen. The project is co-owned by Meeuwentocht, Others, Waterschap Zuiderzeeland and Windshare Groen, with their respective ownership stake of 25% each.

The project generates 350,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 115,000 households, offsetting 350,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project has 166m high towers.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2022 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2023.

Power purchase agreement

Cargill Inc. - Hammond and Vattenfall are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 15 units of 6.0-164 turbines, each with 6MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2023, for a period of 25 years.
