  1. Project Implementation: 104 tenders and an 87.4% share
  2. Consulting & Similar Services: ten tenders and an 8.4% share
  3. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: five tenders and a 4.2% share.

Asia-Pacific leads power plant activity in June 2020

Comparing tenders activity in power plant segment in different regions of the globe, Asia-Pacific held the top position with 79 tenders and a share of 66.4% during June 2020, followed by Europe with 18 tenders and a 15.1% share and North America with 12 tenders and a 10.1% share.

Solar is leading technology for power plant tenders in June 2020

Among the technologies, solar accounted for 99 tenders with an 80.5% share, followed by hydro with seven tenders and a 5.7% share and nuclear with five tenders and a 4.1% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved were:

  1. Railway Energy Management (India): 1,400MW from two tenders
  2. Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund: 200MW from one tender
  3. ArcelorMittal South Africa Limited (South Africa): 150MW capacity from one tender.
