Description
The project is currently owned by Prai Power Sdn with a stake of 100%.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The fuel is procured from Petronas.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in June 2003.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Tenaga Nasional under a power purchase agreement for a period of 21 years.
Contractors Involved
Sumitomo was selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 steam turbine with 120MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 unit of MS9001FA-50 Hz gas turbine with 230MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
Doosan supplied steam boiler for the project.
Malakoff is the O&M contractor for thermal power project for a period of 21 years.
