The project is developed and owned by Acciona Energia and Tuto Energy. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.
Puerto Libertad Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 2.4 km².
The project generates 963GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 583,000 households, offsetting 925,443t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $349m.
The project got commissioned in June 2019.
Power Purchase Agreement
Comision Federal de Electricidad and Tuto Energy Trading are the power offtakers from the project.
Acciona Energia was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
JA Solar Holdings was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 1,222,800 modules at the site.
The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by STI Norland.
Acciona Energia is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project for a period of 2 years.
