Description

The project is currently owned by Saudi Electricity.

It is a steam turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is heavy fuel oil. In case of shortage of heavy fuel oil the plant can also run on Natural Gas.

The project got commissioned in 2013.

Contractors Involved

Arabian Qudra and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction were selected to render EPC services for the oil fired power project.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction was selected as the turbine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company provided 4 steam turbines, each with 700MW nameplate capacity.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction supplied electric generator for the project.

Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction supplied steam boiler for the project.
