Ras Abu Fontas B2 Cogeneration Plant is a 567MW gas fired power project. It is located in Al Wakrah, Qatar. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2007.

The project is currently owned by Qatar Electricity & Water Co QPSC with a stake of 100%.
It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from Qatar Petroleum.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Qatar General Electricity and Water under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
Fisia Italimpianti and General Electric International were selected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 3 units of Frame 9FA gas turbines.
GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.
Nooter/Eriksen supplied steam boiler for the project.
