Description

The project is currently owned by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is blast furnace gas. In case of shortage of blast furnace gas the plant can also run on Coke Oven Gas.

RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant (RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals steam turbines. The phase consists of 3 steam turbines, each with 60MW nameplate capacity.

RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant (RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant Phase II) is equipped with Bharat Heavy Electricals steam turbines. The phase consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 67.5MW nameplate capacity.

RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant (RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant Phase III) is equipped with Siemens steam turbines. The phase consists of 2 steam turbines, each with 60MW nameplate capacity.

Bharat Heavy Electricals supplied electric generator for the RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant (RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant Phase II).

Siemens supplied electric generator for the RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant (RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant Phase III).

Bharat Heavy Electricals supplied steam boiler for the RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant (RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant Phase II).

Thermax supplied steam boiler for the RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant (RINL-VSP Captive Power Plant Phase III).
