Description
The project was developed by Ultrasystems Engineers & Constructors. The project is co-owned by IHI and North American Power Group, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
Wood waste which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in June 1988.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Pacific Gas and Electric under a power purchase agreement for a period of 30 years.
Contractors Involved
ABB was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company provided 1 unit of VAX STG turbine with 25MW nameplate capacity.
Combustion Engineering supplied steam boiler for the project.
IHI Power Services is the O&M contractor for the project.
