The project is being developed by AES Distributed Energy and Sustainable Power Group. The project is currently owned by AES Distributed Energy with a stake of 100%.
Riverhead Solar 2 PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 275 acres.
The project is expected to generate 72,345MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 8,500 households. The project is expected to offset 73,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $38.808m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
