Description

The project is developed and owned by Rock Creek Wind Project. The company has a stake of 100%.

The project generates 1,250GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 100,000 households, offsetting 900,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $500m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in November 2017.

Power Purchase Agreement

Evergy Metro and Evergy Missouri West are the power offtakers from the project.

Contractors Involved

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 150 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.
