Description
The project was developed by AES SeaWest and Shell WindEnergy. The project is co-owned by Royal Dutch Shell and Terra-Gen, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 25,000 households.
Development Status
The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in October 2001.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to PacifiCorp under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2001. The contracted capacity is 50MW.
Contractors Involved
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 50 units of MWT 1000 turbines, each with 1MW nameplate capacity.
