Roosevelt is a 299.65MW onshore wind power project. It is located in New Mexico, the US. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in December 2015.

Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewable Development and Infinity Renewables. The project is co-owned by BlackRock and EDF Renewable Development, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 165,400 households, offsetting 905,701t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $430m.

The project has 80m high towers.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2015.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the Roosevelt (Roosevelt I) is sold to Southwest Public Service under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years from 2015. The contracted capacity is 250MW.

The power generated from the Roosevelt (Roosevelt IIA) is sold to Southwest Public Service under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Roosevelt (Roosevelt I) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V100-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 125 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Roosevelt (Roosevelt IIA) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V100-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 16 turbines.

Roosevelt (Roosevelt IIB) is equipped with Vestas Wind Systems V100-2.0 MW turbines. The phase consists of 9 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

EDF Renewables and Vestas Wind Systems were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
