Description

The project is developed and owned by China Huaneng Group.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 820,000MWh electricity thereby offsetting 550,500t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $815.67m.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2016 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in September 2017.

Contractors Involved

Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore (Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore North Zone – Phase IA) is equipped with Shanghai Electric Wind Power Equipment SWT 4.0-130 turbines. The phase consists of 14 turbines with 4MW nameplate capacity.

Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore (Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore North Zone – Phase IB) is equipped with CSIC HaiZhuang Windpower H151-5.0MW turbines. The phase consists of 20 turbines with 5MW nameplate capacity.

Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore (Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore South Zone – Phase IIA) is equipped with Envision Energy EN136-4.2 turbines. The phase consists of 12 turbines with 4.2MW nameplate capacity.

Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore (Rudong-China Huaneng Offshore South Zone – Phase IIB) is equipped with Shanghai Electric Wind Power Equipment SWT 4.0-130 turbines. The phase consists of 24 turbines with 4MW nameplate capacity.
