The Rupsha Combined Cycle Power Plant is 800MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Khulna, Bangladesh. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in September 2022.

Description
The project is being developed and currently owned by North West Power Generation.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be regasified liquified natural gas. In case of shortage of regasified liquified natural gas the plant will run on High Speed Diesel. The fuel will be procured from Khulna CGS.
The project cost is expected to be around $1,140m.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in September 2022.
Contractors Involved
Ansaldo Energia and Shanghai Electric Group are expected to render EPC services for the gas fired power project.
The Gas fired project will be supplied by Ansaldo Energia and Shanghai Electric Group.
Ansaldo Energia is expected to be the supplier electric generator for the project.
