Description
The project was developed by JFE Technos and is currently owned by Itochu.
Saijo Komatsu Solar Power Plant is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 400,000 square meters.
The project generates 37,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 10,000 households. The project cost is $75.035m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in June 2015.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Shikoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.
Contractors Involved
Sharp was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 134,000 modules at the site.
