Description

The project was developed by Desert Solar Power One, ecap Solutions, LSG Group and STEAG Solar Energy Solutions. The project is currently owned by United Green International.

Sainshand Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project generates 57,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 27,000 households, offsetting 45,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in February 2019.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Power Transmission Grid under a power purchase agreement. The power is sold at the rate of $0.016kWh for a period of 20 years, starting from 2019. The contracted capacity is 27.5MW.

Contractors involved

ecap Solutions was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

The solar PV modules for the project were supplied by Canadian Solar and Trina Solar.

Solar inverters for the project were procured from SMA Solar Technology and Sungrow Power Supply.
