Description

The project is developed and owned by Sainshand Wind Park. The company has a stake of 100%.

The project generates 190,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 100,000 households, offsetting 200,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $120m.

The project has 95m high towers.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in September 2018.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to National Power Transmission Grid under a power purchase agreement for a period of 26 years.

Contractors Involved

China Machinery Engineering was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 25 units of V110-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2.2MW nameplate capacity.

Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 15 years.
